With their fifth anniversary coming on August 8th, fans are eager to see the new special material or activities they will announce through the platform. According to a source from YG, this will be part of their 4+1 Project marking the fifth anniversary. BLACKPINK will be the third YG artist to join Weverse, following TREASURE and iKON. The agency had previously announced ambitions to strengthen its strategic alliance with HYBE (formerly Big Hit Entertainment) and Weverse Company. BLACKPINK made their debut in August 2016, and since then, they have released several successful songs such as ŌĆ£DDU-DU DDU-DUŌĆØ and ŌĆ£Kill This Love.ŌĆØ Moreover, the group broke the record in October of last year when their first full-length album, THE ALBUM, debuted at No. 2 on BillboardŌĆÖs Top 200 Albums chart.
