Homemade Love Story actress Jin Ki Joo plays Kyung Mi, a deaf woman who works as a sign language counselor at a call center. Her chaser, the serial killer Do Shik, is played by 18 Again actor Wi Ha Joon. The two began filming the movie in Septer 2019 and completed it later that year. It was originally scheduled to be released in the first half of last year, but it was postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus. There are many reasons why TVING chose Midnight as its second original film. One is the fact that CJ ENMŌĆÖs affiliate invested in the movie.
