According to insiders, the lead cast of Tale of the Nine-Tailed 2 recently had their first table read on April 18th. Tale of the Nine-Tailed Season 2 is a prequel to its original drama. Reports stated that Season 1ŌĆÖs original cast members, Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum, attended this read-through session, joined by a new cast member, Kim So Yeon. Jo Bo Ah, the female lead of season 1, will not be returning for season 2. Additional details have revealed that the upcoming season will follow the adventures of hero Lee Yeon (played by Lee Dong Wook) as he hunts down evil spirits on the peninsula. Viewers will also be able to learn more about Lee RangŌĆÖs (Kim Bum) past and how his brother came to be the mysterious guardian himself. Expectations are high for Kim So Yeon, a new female lead in the showŌĆÖs Season 2. Kim So YeonŌĆÖs character is the owner of a high-end restaurant in Gyeongseong called Myoyeon Gak and a former guardian deity of the West. Kim So Yeon starred in the SBS TV series, The Penthouse: War in Life as a wicked but famous soprano and won the Grand Prize at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards. Source (1)
