Sweet Home, which was released simultaneously around the world on Dec 18, is based on a thriller webtoon of the same name published in Naver Webtoon. Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Si Young, Lee Do Hyun, Kim Nam Hee, Go Min Si, Park Kyu Young, Go Youn Jung, and more appeared in the series, and some of their characters show different storytelling from the original work. Characters like Seo Yi Kyung (Lee Si Young), Choi Yoon Jae (Go Geun Han), Han Yoo Jin (Han Yoo Jin) and Jung Eui Myung (Kim Sung Chul) are original characters that do not exist in the webtoon. On top of that, Pyung Sang Wook (Lee Jin Wook) also shows a clear difference in his setting from the original character. Perhaps itŌĆÖs because of these changes, the fans of the original webtoon are not so welcoming of the drama. Meanwhile, Sweet Home debuted at No. 14 on NetflixŌĆÖs ŌĆ£TOP TV Shows in the WorldŌĆØ chart released on Dec 19. It has gained great attention from Asian countries, ranking first in Korea while landing at No. 2 in Hong Kong and Thailand. Since each episode was given a budget of 3 billion KRW (about 2.7 million USD), the production of season 2 will only come after the series sees enough success. Source (1)
